Hall of Fame

In 1968, George Cunningham arrived in Canada from Northern Ireland with two suitcases, $35 in savings, and a drive to build something lasting. Fifty years later, the GVCA are proud to induct George, founder of S.G. Cunningham Limited, into our Hall of Fame.

The evening was a celebration of George’s "Do it once, do it right" philosophy and his deep-rooted commitment to the Grand Valley community. From his early days with Ball Brothers to his company’s incredible Community Project Program supporting organizations like KidsAbility and the Food Bank, George has defined what it means to lead with integrity. We were honored to celebrate this milestone alongside past recipients, industry colleagues, and the Cunningham family.
